How to Measure Your Foot
- Place a piece of paper on a hard floor and stand on it with your heel against a wall.
- Mark the tip of your longest toe.
- Measure the distance from the wall to the mark in centimetres.
- Use the chart below to find your size. If you're between sizes, we generally recommend sizing up.

Blundstone Fit Notes
- Width: Blundstones have a standard to slightly wide fit. If you have narrow feet, consider sizing down half a size.
- Break-in: Leather Blundstones will soften and mould to your foot over the first few weeks of wear.
- Socks: Blundstones are designed to be worn with socks. If you plan to wear thick wool socks, you may want to size up.
- Half sizes: Blundstone does not make half sizes in all styles. If you're between sizes, we recommend sizing up and using an insole if needed.
- Women's vs Men's: Women's Blundstones have a narrower heel cup. Women with wider feet may prefer the men's fit.
Birkenstock Size Guide

Birkenstock Fit Notes
- Width: Birkenstocks come in regular (medium) and narrow widths. If you have a narrow foot, look for the narrow-width option. If you have a wide foot, size up.
- Footbed: The cork footbed will mould to the shape of your foot over time. New Birkenstocks may feel firm at first — this is normal.
- Toe bar: Your toes should just reach the toe bar without hanging over the edge. There should be about 5mm of space at the heel.
- Straps: Adjust the straps so the sandal feels snug but not tight. The buckle should sit in the middle of the strap for adjustment room.
- Between sizes: If you're between EU sizes, size up for a more comfortable fit, especially if you have a wider foot.
General Fit Tips
- Measure in the afternoon — feet swell slightly throughout the day, so afternoon measurements give the most accurate fit.
- Measure both feet — most people have one foot slightly larger than the other. Always fit to the larger foot.
- Consider your socks — if you plan to wear thick socks (e.g. wool hiking socks), account for this when choosing your size.
- Width matters — if you have wide or narrow feet, check the brand-specific fit notes above for guidance.
